1998 ‘アンドロ Andromedia is one of those films that just shouldn't work. It's cheesy in the extreme, doesn't make a lick of sense, is full of plot-holes, and has a level of sentimentality that frequently crosses from sappy into ridiculous. And yet it somehow works. It is one of four films he directed in 1998, along with BLUES HARP, BIRD PEOPLE OF CHINA, and another quirky SciFi actioner FULL METAL YAKUZA. Despite Takashi Miike's solid reputation for violent Yakuza fare, he has occasionally dabbled in pop music most notably with N-GIRLS VS THE VAMPIRE and the hit television series IDOL X WARRIOR: MIRACLE TUNES .

Learning of her capture, Mai’s old friends race to free AI from her captors so that she won’t fall
